UK-WIDE E-WASTE & IT ASSET RECOVERY

Technology
recovered
properly.

One of the UK’s leading buyers of circuit boards and computer systems.

TECHRE UK helps businesses, waste companies, schools and IT providers recover more value from redundant technology. We combine competitive purchasing with secure handling, compliant documentation and a reuse-first approach—so even equipment that appears obsolete can still deliver a better commercial and environmental outcome.

Built for businesses that need value recovery and compliance to work together.

TWO SPECIALISMS. ONE PARTNER.

Keep more value.
Lose the complexity.

From loose PCB grades and telecom cards to complete corporate IT estates, we assess every item for its highest-value responsible route. Reusable systems are separated for refurbishment and resale; end-of-life equipment is processed for component and material recovery. This extra layer of assessment is what allows us to protect environmental outcomes while remaining commercially competitive.

SERVICE / 01

Serious prices for every grade of PCB.

We purchase every grade of circuit board—from low-grade power and appliance boards through to computer, server, telecom, gold-edge and specialist industrial material. We also buy RAM, CPUs, complete systems and PCB-containing equipment, even where the chance of conventional reuse appears limited.

Our model places a reuse and resale assessment before the final refining route. By identifying equipment, components and boards that still have a higher-value market, TECHRE can often return more to suppliers than a business focused only on bulk material recovery.

ABOUT TECHRE UK

A commercial filter before the refinery.

TECHRE UK was built around a straightforward idea: redundant technology should be assessed properly before it is reduced to a commodity. Traditional waste routes can overlook reusable systems, valuable components and specialist boards. We inspect incoming material for those opportunities first, then send genuine end-of-life material into responsible recovery routes.

This approach gives suppliers one route for mixed material without forcing them to choose between an IT reseller and a scrap buyer. Modern equipment can be remarketed, older systems can be harvested for reusable parts, and circuit boards can be graded accurately for their material content. The supplier receives a clear commercial outcome, while more equipment remains in productive use for longer.

We work with organisations on both one-off clearances and ongoing supply arrangements. For regular producers of WEEE or PCB-containing equipment, we can build a custom process around containers, grading rules, collections, rebates, data handling and environmental reporting.

WHAT WE HANDLE

If it contains a circuit board, start with us.

Working, incomplete or firmly beyond reuse—we assess mixed technology for both resale and material value before deciding its route. This includes newer equipment that may command a per-unit price, older machines bought by weight, and stripped or damaged boards that still retain recoverable value.

Complete systems can be non-working or incomplete. For computer-system purchase, the motherboard should normally still be present. Clean, correctly separated PCB grades receive the strongest rates; batteries, excessive steel and contamination may require a deduction or separate handling.

PCB PURCHASING

All grades, accurately valued.

We buy low, mid and high-grade boards alongside laptop, server, switch, telecom and specialist industrial PCBs. RAM, CPUs, gold-edge material and other high-value components can be separated and priced individually. If your team is unsure how to grade a load, send photographs or arrange a site visit—we would rather help you separate it correctly than apply one blended rate to everything.

Pricing is based on material grade, preparation, quantity and current downstream markets. We can quote by kilogram, by unit for newer technology, or through an agreed mixed-load structure for regular suppliers.

CORPORATE ITAD

More than removing old computers.

Our IT asset disposal service covers laptops, desktops, servers, switches, storage, phones, tablets, drives and wider business electronics. Equipment is assessed for reuse, resale, parts recovery or responsible recycling rather than being sent directly into a single waste route.

We can support office clearances, corporate fleet retirement, infrastructure refreshes and data-centre decommissioning. Collections can be tailored around access, loading, asset volumes and the level of reporting required by your organisation.

DATA SECURITY

Controlled from collection onward.

Data-bearing equipment is identified and handled within a controlled process. Depending on the agreed service, media can be securely erased for reuse or physically destroyed where continued use is inappropriate. Certificates can be produced to confirm the completed outcome.

This gives customers a clear chain between the equipment leaving their site and its final treatment, supporting internal security policies, UK GDPR responsibilities and audit requirements.

COLLECTIONS & LOGISTICS

Nationwide, with a route for smaller loads too.

Free direct collections are normally available for suitable loads above 300 kg, subject to material type and location. For smaller quantities, we can arrange pallet transport and deduct the agreed logistics cost from the material value.

Every movement is reviewed before booking so the right vehicle, packaging and paperwork are in place. Regular suppliers can also use scheduled collections or call-off arrangements to prevent valuable material building up on site.

COMPLIANCE, MADE VISIBLE

Licence numbers you can check.

Clear credentials remove uncertainty from waste movements and data-bearing equipment. Our registrations support the collection, transport, treatment and secure handling services described across this site.

USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you book.

Do you buy damaged or very old boards?+

Yes. We buy all PCB grades, including material unlikely to be reused. Value depends on grade, preparation and volume, so photographs are the quickest starting point.

Can you collect mixed IT equipment?+

Yes. We handle mixed business IT and WEEE nationwide. Collection terms depend on material type, weight and distance; smaller loads can often move by pallet.

What happens to data-bearing devices?+

They stay within a controlled handling route and can be erased or physically destroyed to the agreed level, with certificates supplied where required.

Can you build a repeat supplier solution?+

Yes. Regular suppliers can use tailored grading, containers, collection schedules, reporting and rebate arrangements built around their waste stream. We can also visit the site to understand how material is generated and design a process that fits existing operations.

Do you provide environmental and movement paperwork?+

Yes. Waste Transfer Notes or Hazardous Waste Consignment Notes are supplied where applicable, alongside agreed data-destruction certificates and environmental reporting. The exact pack is confirmed before the collection.

Are you already ISO certified?+

TECHRE UK is currently working towards ISO 9001 and ISO 27001. We do not present these as completed certifications; current statutory registrations and exemptions are listed above with their reference numbers.
